"Slywynk's Foxy Littleman"
Rescued from a life in an outdoor kennel
Grand Island, NE
August 2003
Long Hair Chihuahua
Fox came from a home breeder of AKC Chihuahuas in Florida. A friend of Wendy's was visiting and happen to notice this little guy outside in the back yard. His breeder said that "Bear" had a "rotten" mouth. She went on to explained his teeth were crooked and he was not a show or breeding quality dog. She couldn't sell him at full price and had consigned him to living 24/7 in a small kennel out back. Her friend called her and told her about him. She had never owned a dog this small before! Nevertheless, she offered to give him a home, so he was packed into the car in his little kennel and left with her friend for Nebraska.
2 weeks later, the new pup arrived. He was all of about 2.5 lbs at 6 months of age. She just couldn't call a dog this small by his given name "Bear". He looked like a little fox, so she calls him Foxy Littleman right from the start! Foxy lost his right eye when one of their now deceased dogs stepped on him. But he is fine today, no worse for wear and he does just as well with only 1 eye! He's their "One Eye- Chihuahua!"
