At Slywynk Miniatures, the breeding program is kept to small proportions just like the horses. With just one brood mare and one stallion, we produce just one foal at a time. This way the foals can be handled intensely and grow accustomed to being handled in every way. All of the horses are AMHR registered. Our brood mare is "Moon Flower Of Orange Cove" foaled 4/7/1999, AMHR #109110A 34.00" Dark Bay Mare (click here to view her AMHR registration). The herd sire is "DCF Jumping Jack Flash" foaled 4/23/1999, AMHR #101842A 30.75" Chestnut Tobiano Pinto Stallion (click here to view his AMHR registration). Jack is also the lead driving miniature of the herd. We also have Moon Flower's Dam, who is retired from breeding, "Daddy's Little Valentine" 2/14/1993, AMHR #47035B 34.50" Grullo Mare (click here to view her AMHR registration).
Since 2006, Slywynk Miniatures Farm has produced 4 foals; 2 colts and 2 fillies. Every foal has been strong and vigorous due to the brood mare producing very high quality colostrum. To date, all of our foals have all been gentle and sweet natured with terrific personalities and conformation. These babies are raised to be drivers like their parents. They all take to harness training quickly and easily. Each foal is handled daily to get them used to being touched. They all grow up to be great little horses!
