"Slywynk's General J.E.B. Stuart of Hamilton"
AKC SR55405303
McLean, Virginia March 9, 2009
Black Labrador Retriever
Jeb came along just at
the right time. We had broken hearts after one of
our dogs passed away and by chance Wendy spotted an ad
on Craig's List for a full blooded black lab puppy and wrote to the
breeders. She told them
about the kind of life he would have on the farm.
Turns out we were offering what they were hoping they'd
find! The perfect life for a farm dog!
They had named him "Mosby"
after
John
Mosby, also known as the "Gray Ghost," who was a regular
Confederate
cavalry battalion commander in the
American Civil War. We decided to name him after
Major-General James Ewell Brown Stuart, chief of cavalry of the army of Northern Virginia, a legendary figure, ranking as one of the greatest cavalry commanders of America. We are Civil War
History buffs and thought JEB would be a great name for
this guy.
